Free Summer Groups

In response to the emotional and psychological effects of COVID-19, the following groups are being offered during the summer, starting the week of June 1st. The Middle School Groups will focus on anxiety management and healthy social connection. There will opportunities to process the losses that were experienced due to the coronavirus, as well as concerns for re-entering school in the fall. The Elementary Age Group will focus on social skills and emotional regulation. The primary goal of all of the groups is to lessen the loss of social and emotional experience due to the quarantine. There is a one time $25 administrative fee. The weekly meetings are free. The link to register is provided below:

  • 7th-8th Grade Girls’ Group
  • 7th-8th Grade Boys’ Group

Group Times:

3rd to 5th Grade: Mondays 2:00pm to 3:00pm

6th Grade Girls: Tuesdays 3:00pm to 4:30pm

6th Grade Boys: Wednesdays 3:00pm to 4:00pm

7th-8th Grade Girls: Thursdays 3:00pm to 4:30pm

7th-8th Grade Boys’: Thursdays 5:00pm to 6:00pm

Michelle Paras, Intern

Michelle Paras will be serving us as an intern this summer and leading our process and support groups. Michelle is working toward a Master of Education in School Counseling at Liberty University and plans to graduate in May 2021. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Education in Early Elementary from Western Governors University and taught elementary students in Forsyth County for several years. Michelle enjoys working with children of all ages and is excited to be able to offer this service to our community during this needed time.
