Kendra H. Gilbert graduated from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling in 2001. Since then she has served both adolescents and adults, individuals, couples and families in a clinical setting. She opened Beyond Today Counseling Center in 2006, with the goal of serving her community by providing counseling services to adolescents and adults, by addressing each individual in a holistic manner. Kendra’s areas of expertise are addiction, anxiety related disorders, depression and other mood disorders, communication issues, struggles in relationship, life transitions and adjustments, grief and loss, stress management and trauma recovery.
Kendra is passionate about bringing mental health awareness to our community, and to provide hope to those who are struggling either personally or within the dynamics of their family. Because of this passion, Kendra serves on the Total Health Awareness for the Forsyth County School System Community Collaborative (www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/Page/51483), and the non-profit charitable health clinic (still in its formative stages), called the Forsyth County Community Health Clinic. In addition to her volunteer work, Kendra is also available to speak at community events in order to bring awareness and education to the topics of Mental Health and Trauma.
